Cardiovascular disease

Modern medicine confirms that this mineral element has an important regulatory role for heart activity. The object is 50 to 54 year-old healthy men and women and a total of 150 candidates, 30 from a region, were selected from 5 different places. Then, the trace elements in the collected 24-hour urine samples were analyzed to determine its role in blood pressure. The result showed that the lower the levels of this mineral in a region, the higher the risk of hypertension and stroke in this region.

Dysmenorrhea

This conclusion is based on the fact that its levels in 45% of patients with dysmenorrhea are significantly lower than the normal. The researchers believe that as the second most important cation in human cells, magnesium plays many special roles. It activates a variety of enzymes, regulates nerve function, maintains the stability of the structure of nucleic acids, involves in protein synthesis, regulates body temperature, and affect people’s emotions. So, magnesium inadequacy will make people feel tense, increase the secretion of stress hormones, and thereby lead to an increased incidence of dysmenorrhea.

Migraine

As a relatively common disease, medical experts have proposed a number of different views on its etiology. And the latest founding showed that it has something to do with magnesium levels. In other words, the deficiency of it can make people prone to migraine.

Medical experts point out that migraine is caused by a metabolic dysfunction of nerve cells, which requires supply of energy from adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the metabolic process. Cancer

The inadequacy of this mineral increases the risk of cancer. A large number of studies have confirmed that it is inversely related to the incidence of cancer. The incidence of cancer is low in areas with high magnesium soil; on the contrary, a higher incidence of cancer occurs in areas with low magnesium soil.

For example, the incidence of cancer in Egypt is very low, only a tenth of Europe. The researchers found that it is related to the amount of magnesium in food and soil. According to statistics, they found that Egyptians take in nearly 5 times more compared to the Europeans. In addition, the experiment also confirmed that the poor magnesium intake could make mice more likely to develop tumors.
